God Let Me take One In The Head – Brad Waudby – EP 65

This interview with Brad Waudby a 14 year veteran police officer, started off like every other episode but it quickly took a turn when there was a technical issue.

Shortly after starting the first segment, “Dig Deeper”, I noticed that Brad could not hear me. Brad had started to share his story and BOY was I glad he could not hear me…

His story is so dramatic and so compiling, that I'm glad I did not interrupt him. I strongly advise that you listen to this entire episode and share it with anyone that may be dealing with the same issues, Brad has had to deal with.

SHOW SEGMENTS:

[01:56] Lead Off Question – This is the question that I lead every episode off with… “Why Law Enforcement?” Although Brad's answer may sound “cliche”, the story he shares about watching his father, who was a funeral director and how he interacted grieving families, shows that it's anything but cliche.

[12:45] Dig Deeper – This is the part of the podcast were I dig into the guest's social media and I craft questions around 3-5 of those posts.

IG POST – Pic of a gentleman holding a sign that says “Suck it up does not mean you can’t ask for help”:

“Suck up your PRIDE and ask for help. PRIDE and EGO are the #1 killers of first responders and veterans because it prevents them from raising their hand and asking for help. Check them at the door and ask for help.”

  • What was the moment you knew you needed help?
  • Who do you turn to when you need help or someone to talk to?
